Canvas: Adding a URL Redirect.
A URL redirect, also referred to as URL forwarding or redirection, is a method used to guide users from one web address to another. It's often employed when a webpage has been moved, deleted, or when a concise URL needs to point to a more detailed one.
To create a URL redirect, go to the page that you wish to point to another URL. Click the "Edit" button. In the righthand sidebar scroll down to the redirect section.
Click on the "Add URL redirect" button.
On the next screen, start typing in the name of the page or URL to which you want the page to redirect.
By default, the redirect will be set permanently. If you want the redirect to be temporary, select "Temporary Redirect" from the dropdown.
Once you have made your changes, click the "Save" button.
